There are few things more fun than dropping the top, turning the radio up and driving wherever the road takes you (like, to a Red Door, for example)! We’ve created the ultimate summer escape list for an epic adventure. Keep reading to check out which MUST PLAY episodes you should add to your vacation itinerary!
San Mateo: While our castle isn’t Disney, you can still experience a magical kingdom! In Érase una vez, you’ll make your way through the castle, find hidden treasures and escape Rumplestiltskins’s dungeon!” Enjoy Red Door’s mystical kingdom here or play in Concord, Encinitas, Oxnard, Sacramento, San Diego and Temecula! Another game that’s great for families is Juego justo. You’ll make your way through a strange fair, in search of the wizard’s secrets. Other locations with Big Top fun include Oxnard, Concord, San Diego, and Temecula but remember… While rooms may exist in multiple locations, NONE of them are the same!
Oxnard: One of the most popular games in this location is El don. Who doesn’t like testing their stealth skills? You’ll sneak into an old antique shop, retrieve a powerful sword, and escape without being seen! Think you’ve got the skill to be a cat burglar? Play here, then test your wits in Sacramento, San Diego, and San Mateo!
sacramento: At this point, everyone’s seen or at least heard about Liam Neeson’s role in his movie “Tomado”. It’s a thrill ride of tracking, finding clues and finding his missing daughter. In our version of Taken, you’ll also need… a very particular set of skills… in a race against time as you follow clues, solve puzzles and make your way out before your captors come back. This is the ONLY location with this game, so escaping and beating the time of other competitors will be even more special!
Emeryville: The theme song from “Mission Impossible” is the perfect soundtrack for when you dive into the high-stakes world of Declassified (also in Encinitas!)! You’ll sneak into a secret facility to recover a classified hard drive. Another popular adventure they have is The Relic. This experience requires you to think outside of the box and translate ancient glyphs to find out how to rid the world of a malevolent spirit before you meet a terrible fate!
Concordia: Karate movies always have a special dojo that houses hidden secrets. When you play camino del guerrero, you’ll experience just that! You and your team will explore an ancient dojo to find and protect a secret map with incredible power from those who would use it for evil! While exploring Cobrame si puedes, you’ll need to wear your best poker face to win! Break into a casino, cash in your chips and get out before security catches you. Who doesn’t love a great heist?
San Diego: Ever think about how fun it would be to become a mad scientist? You’ll get the chance to do just that in our quickplay game titled Captain Maniacal’s Lairbratorium (also in San Mateo, Oxnard, and Temecula!). By the time you finish building the perfect robot assistant, you’ll be singing, “Dōmo arigatō, Mr. Roboto!” Another SUPER popular game is Fuga de la prisión. In this adventure, you and your team were wrongly imprisoned, so you’re making a jailbreak! Follow the clues left behind other inmates who escaped, solve the puzzles and riddles, and escape before you get caught! Sounds simple enough, right? We’ve got prisons in Temecula, San Mateo, Sacramento, Concord, and Oxnard too – if you’re ready to be a state-wide fugitive, that is!
Temécula: Every playlist has to have a dark song or two you can really emotionally commit to, and that’s why we’re adding our hit escape Confinamiento to the list. As you find yourselves trapped in a nightmare and slipping further and further away from reality, you’ll have to find a way out before being trapped in the madness forever. Evanescence ain’t got nothing on our emo side, and you can also play us in Oxnard, San Diego, San Mateo, and Sacramento!
Encinitas: Sing it with us: “I’ve got my life to live, and all my love to give, and I will Survive (evil bandits out to get me as I hunt for a rescue transmitter to save my dystopian utopia)!” Check it out in Emeryville too, as well as Encantamiento; an adventure that will have you exploring Lord Oberon’s magical fairy grove and solving the trials of the fairies to obtain the ultimate prize… A wish!
